Workers of the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, decked out in their finest attire, took an active part in the celebration of the 139th edition of International Labour Day, which was held on 1 May under the theme: “Social Dialogue and Decent Work: For a Peaceful Cameroon” and the derived sub-theme: “Social Dialogue and Rigorous Implementation of Legal Instruments: the Guarantee of Land and Property Tenure Security”; with the remarkable presence of Minister Henri Eyebe Ayissi, in his capacity as super coach, during a ceremony rich in sound and colour.

The Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure was conspicuously present during the week marking the celebration of the International Labour Day, by organising several sporting, leisure and civic activities, culminating in the parade at the 20th May Boulevard, where each worker from MINDCAF was able to march forward and captivate the public's attention with a touch of originality and the uniqueness of their special garment.

Mrs BOUGADIA Anne Marie, in her capacity as spokesperson of the Staff Representatives, made a brilliant presentation of all the difficulties faced by MINDCAF workers, both in central and devolved services. The aim was to strengthen teamwork among the different collaborators, while providing concrete solutions in terms of rolling stock and/or office equipment to further boost the working environment within the institution, and to facilitate the immersion of new staff through mandatory training sessions.

His Excellency Henri Eyebe Ayissi, Minister for State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, in his capacity as head of the ministry, said he paid attention to the grievances of all his collaborators, and then made three important announcements in his speech.

In addition to the creation of a national mutual solidarity fund for MINDCAF staff, a project currently underway that will enable all MINDCAF workers to benefit from support in the event of illness or any other unfortunate or fortunate event that may occur at any time. The Minister outlined the way forward and the stages still to be completed for this important project to finally take shape by the end of the year.

Identifying the needs of each structure is therefore a positive response that will enable certain buildings to be refurbished and the procurement of vehicles and office equipment to be relaunched for each structure as soon as possible by hierarchy.

The Minister reiterated the guiding principles that must govern the behaviour of all his collaborators (the 12 Commandments), with a view to making every official and every worker face up to his or her responsibilities, as respect for the law is the supreme guide that must guide everyone in his or her area of competence on a daily basis.
