RECOGNITION: CAMCUDA Honours Minister Henri Eyebe Ayissi

On 12 March 2026, the Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, Henri Eyebe Ayissi, received a delegation from the Cameroon Cultural and Development Association (CAMCUDA), which presented him with honorary distinctions in recognition of his efforts to modernise and promote land tenure and State property legislation in Cameroon.

During this solemn ceremony, the CAMCUDA delegation commended Minister Eyebe Ayissi’s leadership and dedication in driving reforms aimed at improving land governance in the country. According to the organisation’s representatives, the initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure (MINDCAF) have helped to strengthen the protection of citizens’ land rights and to foster a clearer understanding of the legal framework governing State lands and surveys.

The three honorary distinctions awarded to the Minister reflect the appreciation of both civil society and traditional communities for the government’s efforts to modernise land administration and to raise public awareness of procedures relating to land tenure, State land, surveys and State property matters.

In receiving these honours, Minister Eyebe Ayissi welcomed CAMCUDA’s initiative and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing its efforts to enhance modernisation and transparency in land management.

He also encouraged the continuation of awareness-raising and public outreach activities carried out in partnership with civil society organisations and traditional authorities, emphasising that a sound understanding of land legislation is a key factor in ensuring social stability and sustainable development.

This ceremony forms part of the partnership agreement signed between MINDCAF and CAMCUDA in 2022, built on clear and relevant objectives that have largely been achieved. The primary aim of this partnership is to further strengthen public awareness of land tenure and state property legislation, particularly among local and rural communities.
